Helen married 25 years to her childhood sweetheart, George Austin Corbin, before he passed away in August 1965. They had two children. Seven years later, Helen met and married James Coyne with whom she had a wonderful life for over 30 years. Helen and Jim moved to Sarasota 30 years ago where they continued to travel, dance, golf, and enjoy life making many friends along the way until Jim passed away December 2001.
Loved by all, Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family. Survivors include: daughter, Joyce Kraynak (Joseph) from Sarasota, son, Donald Corbin, from Hialeah, four grandchildren, Diane Kraynak, Shannon Garrity, Ryan Corbin, and Kyle Corbin, and her four great-grandchildren are Casey and Bergen Garrity and Cameron and Reid Corbin.
Helen always wanted to be active whether it was playing cards and dominoes, shopping, dancing, or going to the YMCA; she loved being with people. Helen went to the YMCA every Tuesday and Thursday not only for exercise but to be with her many friends. She never wanted to be isolated. She knew that keeping busy and being with friends and family kept her mind stimulated. Helen was a vibrant, vivacious woman who enjoyed the Elks every Saturday night and always dressed exquisitely .
She planned and celebrated the 95th birthday with the family. A gracious beautiful woman, Helen was an inspiration to all who met her. She knew how to live life to the fullest with great dignity. She danced at the Elks only a few weeks ago and attended her YMCA class just a week before her passing.
