Helen Brumm Hagerty

Helen Brumm Hagerty, the queen of queens to her husband, John, of 61 years, adored by her children Mark, Tracy (Positano), Darren, and Kevin, the beacon of light for the future of her grandchildren David, Kimberly, Thomas, Kevin, and Matthew, passed away surrounded by her family on October 16, 2024.

Helen was born in Hammond, IN, September 8, 1941, the only child of David Brumm and Helen (Dahm) Brumm. She graduated from St Mary’s Prep Academy in South Bend, IN, and went on to attain a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Miami. She was involved in many of the family businesses, but primarily was a stay-at-home Mom, nurturing her family. She was an avid cheerleader at her children’s and grandchildren’s sports events throughout her life. She loved to travel with John and the family, visiting exotic places such as Greenland, Iceland, Tahiti, and Bora Bora. Her friends and family are secure in the knowledge that God has created a special place in Heaven for our Helen.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church on Saturday, November 23, at 10:30 AM, immediately followed by interment at Palms Memorial Park at 12:30 PM. Should you wish to make a donation in Helen’s name in lieu of flowers, the American Heart Association would be her choice.
