Herman Dewey Connatser

Born September 19, 1935 in Friendsville, Tennessee, he was the son of William H. Connatser and Shirley Dixon Connatser. He met his wife Katie in 1998 and they married on December 20, 2003. Herman faithfully attended New Wine Worship Center for over 20 years.

Herman was born and raised on his family's farm in Friendsville, Tennessee, where his family grew tobacco and watermelons. He worked as a store manager for Kinney Shoes, Inc, his time working for Kinney's included working at locations in Tennessee, Virginia, and Maryland. After retiring from Kinney Shoes, he went on to work for and retired from, JC Penny’s in Venice, Florida.

He is survived by his wife Katie Connatser, his sons Larry Connatser, Randy (Tina) Connatser, Brian Connatser; step-children Debbie (Ricky) Mafera, Carolyn (David) Camacho, Robert Rector; grandchildren, Alysia, David Paul, Donna Rose, Wyatt, Jacob, Jeremy, Lauren, Kelly, Paul, Joey, Angel; great grandchildren, Chloe, Maddison, Soffia, Oakley, Deckard, Tyler, Tucker, Tegan, Kylee, Karson, Kota, Keller, and Peyton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings William E. Connatser, Frank Connatser, Eula Mae Messamore, Ralph Connatser, and Coy Connatser.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at New Wine Worship Center, 4090 Tallevast Road, Sarasota, Florida 34243. Visitation will be from 1 pm – 2 pm for family and friends. Memorial services will begin at 2 pm, with Pastor Mike Harrison officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 pm at Robert Toale & Sons at Palms Memorial Park, located at 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34232.
