My memories of Hope go back many years ago when her brother Daniel and I were roommates at Cornell. I spoke with Hope after Danny passed away for a long time. I am now shocked to learn of her passing. Such a beautiful woman both inside and outside. RIP sweet Hope as you are reunited with your mom and dad and brothers. 💔💔

Hope will always have a special place in my heart. Her smile and enthusiasm were infectious.
We met through our love of the Italian language and all things Italian. I was Hope’s Italian teacher; she was my student. But, our relationship became much 
more than that. I will always count Hope is a dear friend.
Hope, sei sempre con me.

My family, like many others, can count our blessings that our paths crossed with Hope.

So sad about Hope’s passing. All the memories here for Hope reflect my memories. Hope was a unique, intelligent and respected leader and colleague at IBM, and a cherished friend from day 1. Both Hope and Mike shared their time and joy freely with my family.

I, like so many others, first met Hope through our mutual love of the Italian language. We were in so many classes and groups together going back a dozen years. Hope was far more fluent than many of us and her knowledge, as well as willingness to assist, were indicators of her kindness and compassion. I will truly miss her in every class or group. She spoke often and lovingly of Michael and her nephew. My condolences to her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing.

All humans should be Hope; there would be no war or greed or indulgence or indifference.  Our  planer was better for with her on it. I will miss her, and forever be grateful she introduced me to doing 1000 piece puzzles.

Hope was a very special person in our Italian class.  I have known her for more than 5 years. My favorite anecdote is when she would lead our Italian sessions in Diane’s house and would make these amazing sentences in Italian  with a mischievous smile. I shall miss her joy, her enthusiasm and her hope…..but I shall thank myself for having known such a wonderful soul.

Hope was a joyful, kind friend. She was the first person I was paired with for  our practice conversation in Italian class and made me feel at ease immediately.
We shall always miss her.

Hope was a classmate and friend. Her kindness and encouragement always lifted my spirits, whether we were sharing laughs over verb conjugations or navigating life's little challenges. She was the first to offer help, her friendship was a gift I will always treasure.
She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love and joy she shared.

I met Hope in my first Italian class--I was out of my league, and everyone else had been together for 2 classes. Hope always smiled at me and encouraged me. She never groaned at my mistakes. In one of our practice sessions she told us of her first visit to Italy, when she took a picture of the door of her hotel so she'd be able to get a cab back. At that time, she showed the driver the name: "Tirare. " He was baffled: it means "Pull!" Fortunately, she did have the name in her purse. When I went to Rome, I took a picture of the door of a gallery : Tirare. I sent it to Hope, saying, "Look! I found your hotel!" She was delighted. She was such a wonderful part of the group I now fit in. I miss her dreadfully.

Hope Fabian was an incredible person.  She was a tremendous mentor and a very special friend.  I will miss her tremendously.  I just wish I could have been there more for her.  Mike, our hearts and prayers are with you and your family!   

Until we meet again, Hope!  It may even be in "Rockland County", our point of origin.  Love you!!

I met Hope many years ago in an OLLI Italian class.  She was a lovely woman - friendly, smart, interesting and full of energy.  I remember chatting with Hope about Caravaggio and, to this day, I am always reminded of her when I see one of his paintings.   She will be missed.

I first met Hope in Italian class, where her warmth and kindness immediately stood out. Hope had an incredible gift for making everyone around her feel valued and appreciated. As a classmate, she was a source of endless encouragement. Her kindness and genuine sweetness left an impression on everyone she met, and her absence will be deeply felt.

I will never forget Hope Fabian. She was the best of the best. I loved working for her.  I admired her confidence and her abilities. I am truly sorry for Mike and Hope’s family. May peace be with all of you.

In loving memory of a truly brilliant soul who touched every life she encountered. Her passion for tennis, her love of Shakespeare, her joy in exploring museums, and her unwavering devotion to her family made her one of a kind. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her warmth, intellect, and spirit will live on in our hearts every single day. She will be terribly missed and forever cherished.

Hope was such a dear sweet woman; devoted to her family.  soooo smart... and soooo kind.... we will miss her....  Michael, when you catch your breath.... we would welcome the chance to talk with you and share our love and grief with you. We are sooo sorry....  Love, Diane and Bruce
