Jim owned Lawns by Jim in Sarasota and was muched loved by his clients, always there to lend a helping hand whenever they needed it.
Preceded in death by his father, Terrence Bernius, he is survived by his mother, Doloris Bernius of Sarasota; a brother, Jeff (Brenda) Bernius of Sarasota; a step mother, Cindi Bernius of Sarasota; a step sister, Kim Sewell of Sarasota; and nieces and nephews, Jason, Justine, Matthew, Brandi and Travis.
A graveside service by the family will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232.
