James Alexander Boyd, 83, of Venice, passed away on October 22, 2012. He was born March 22, 1929. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. James is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Emily “Lee”; daughter, Leeann Putney; grandchildren, Adam and Ryan Putney; brother, Bob Boyd; and sister, Jean Bramer. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held Sat, Nov. 3rd at 2pm at Venice Bay Adult Park, 600 N. Tamiami Trail, Venice.
