James Monroe Coblentz

James Monroe Coblentz, age 63, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. James was born in Chardon, Ohio. James is preceded in death by his parents Monroe and Katie Coblentz of Sarasota, Florida.

He is survived by four brothers, Ron and wife Cheryl, children Hannah (married to Ben Satterfield) and Kyndal - Birmingham, AL, brother Lynn and wife Delores, children Andrea (married to Brent Davies), Heather (married to Chris Catarzi) and Christie (married to Joey Halverson) – Sarasota,FL, brother Randy and wife Lea Ann, children Claire, Uriah, and Rachel - Williamsburg, VA, brother Jay and wife Kim, children Charity, Nate, Emily (married to Erik Bouck) and Luke – Sarasota, FL.

James was born in Chardon, Ohio and was raised in Sarasota after the age of 2. He graduated from Sarasota High School and worked in various positions in the construction industry for most of his life, including Coblentz Construction Corporation, Living Water Pools, Bruce Williams Homes, and Mullets Aluminum Products, Inc. He held state general contractor and state roofing licenses.

James was a dedicated member at Abundant Life Church. James spent years working with youth groups and devoted time to mission trips. James was always quick to help those in need, enjoyed working on the sound team at church, and loved Jesus. James was a proud uncle to 12 nieces and nephews and loved them like his own kids.

Visitation for James will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Abundant Life church, 6461 Proctor Road, Sarasota, FL 34241, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. All are welcome for dinner following the funeral service.
