James "Jimmy" G. Grant Jr.

Jimmy was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 26, 1948, and worked as a Class A mechanic for Keyspan Energy for many years. He was a kind, funny, generous, loving and caring man who was deeply loved by his family and friends.

On March 21, 2002, Jimmy married the love of his life, Helen. Together, they shared 24 wonderful years of marriage. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching television, boating and fishing.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Helen Grant; his children, Christopher Miranda, James Grant III and Nicole Patella; his grandchildren, James Grant IV, Christopher Miranda, Jr., Daniel Miranda, Emily Miranda and Ayden Patella.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota FL. Friends and family will share memories at 4:00 PM.
