James was a United States Army Veteran. He graduated from Richmond Business College and Earlham College, both in Richmond, Indiana and retired as Financial Executive from Dana Corporation after 39 years of service.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara; two sisters, Ethel McTaggart of Saginaw, MI and Phyllis Morgan of Brighton, MI; a brother, Roy Main of Saginaw, MI; a daughter, Brenda of Houston, TX; a son, David (Laura) of Pittsburgh, PA, and three granddaughters, Evan Elizabeth Sager, Allison Hartman and Kelly Hartman.
Service will be held Tuesday, April, 27th, 2010 at 10am at Church of the Palms Chapel, Sarasota with a reception to follow at 12noon at Rosedale Country Club, Bradenton. Arrangements by the National Cremation & Burial Society, Sarsaota.
