James Letters of Sarasota passed away on March 15, 2021 at the age of 84. He was born on December 13, 1936 in Annan Scotland.
James was a lineman at PSE&G. He retired after 34 years, then moved to Sarasota Florida where he enjoyed the golf course and spending time with his wife.
He is predeceased by his parents James Cassidy and Margaret Letters. His siblings included a brother Joseph, and two sisters, Catherine and Margaret who are since deceased.
He is survived by his wife Sally who he was happily married to for 61 years and his 4 children, James Charles and his wife Patricia, Sally Ann, Heather and her husband Greg and Joanne and her wife Leslie. James had seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Jim attended school and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Elizabeth, NJ. Soccer was one of his favorite sports he played in Germany while in the Army and at Farchers Grove in Union. He was active in the Masons in Elizabeth, NJ and went on to become the Worshipful Master. In Sarasota, he was affiliated with The St. Andrews Society
Military Honors and service will be held on April 9th, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota FL 34241
