He was born in Kalamazoo, MI November 26, 1918 and came to Sarasota in 1975 from Sea Cliff, Long Island, NY.
He was a special agent with The Counsels Office State of NY. Retired in 1975 after 33 years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, December 1940 - May 1945. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sea Cliff, the Scottish Rite Club of Sarasota and a charter member of Sahib Temples Desert Patrol Unit, Sarasota.
Survivors include a son, Bruce R. Williams of Bayville, Long Island, NY and a daughter, Lynn Ahrends of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Locust Valley Cemetery on Long Island. Whitting Funeral Home will be in charge.
Memorial donations may be made to your local Shriners Children's Hospital.
