She was born in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania on March 19, 1965. Jan received a B.A. in Home Economics from Hood College, Frederick, Maryland, and her M.B.A. from Lebanon Valley College. She was married to Terrence M. Monteverde on March 7, 1992.
Jan worked as the C.F.O. for Conestoga Ceramic Tile Distributors. She was a member of Sarasota Republican Women's Club and had a passion for reading and playing Mahjong.
Jan is survived by her son, Arthur P. Monteverde.
