Janice Louise Wilkinson

Janice was born on November 29, 1944 in Indianapolis,Indiana. She was married to her high school sweetheart Ralph "Skip" Wilkinson for 57 years. They shared a life of adventure together on their boat and on their bike, taking many memorable weekend trips. With Mom and Dad, there was never a shortage of love. She worked at a variety of different jobs over the years, but her most cherished job was that of wife and mother. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from USF in her 40s teaching us that it's never too late to follow your dream. She was a top athlete, a talented artist and efficient bookkeeper. Her greatest joy was her family, which grew larger than she ever expected! She was a loving and caring mother to her three children Scott (and Kim) WIlkinson, Susan Wilkinson and Sherry (and Joe) Shamp. She was a fun, creative grandma to her nine grandchildren Nicole Wilkinson Smith, Brittany Wilkinson Hyder, Arthur Dombroskie, Brock Wilkinson, Brandon Wilkinson, Joseph Shamp, Bret Guzzo, Jarrett Shamp and Jaena Shamp. And she was a nurturing great-grandma to Maddox, Jaxon, Olivia and Ty Smith, Nevaeh and Tristan Perez, Alyah, Saeed and Naima Hyder, Cody and Henry Dombroskie, Bryce, Brady and Braddock Wilkinson and Tytus and MykahMae Wilkinson.

Along with a generous heart and a matter-of-fact delivery, the greatest gift she left her family was a legacy of faith. There was never a question about Mom's faith, and it showed through her actions and devotion to her family.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love HIm, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Janice is further survived by siblings Joanne Ricketts, Linda (and Danny) Patterson and Jim Fechtman.
