

It is with great sadness we announce that Jean Ann Finnery of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on January 2, 2026. Jean was born in Findlay, Ohio in 1940. She lived in Michigan and in Ohio before making Florida her permanent residence.
Jean was an avid golfer and a member of TPC Prestancia, Florida and Wetherington Golf and Country Club, Ohio.
Over the years she has enjoyed and treasured the friendships and time with friends and family that were shared. Her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched with her generosity, love, laughter and support.
Jean was preceded in death by her spouse, Steven Finnery, her children Deborah Wieladt and Karl Weiladt, and her sister, Sarah Roach.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Stephanie Harris, North Carolina; Brother, Rollie Culp (Debby), Florida; two nieces, Lynn Buckner (Rick), Florida; Amanda Sheldon (Logan), Florida; one nephew, Rollie Culp Jr. (Christina), New Jersey; one granddaughter, Kaylee Harris, North Carolina; one great-niece, Alannah Culp, New Jersey, and one great-nephew, David Sheldon, Florida. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A visitation will be held at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, located at 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232, on January 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at the same location on January 18, 2026, at 1:00 pm with a reception from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
