Jeanne Marie Bellucci
July 17, 1946 – October 10, 2020
Jeanne Marie Bellucci (Taverrite), 74 of Sarasota, passed away on October 10, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born on July 17, 1946 in Rochester, New York.
She graduated from East Rochester High School in 1964, then attended Mercyhurst College and Nazareth College where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fine Arts Education in 1969 and a Masters of Education in 1974. She was a primary school art teacher in East Rochester and an independent custom jeweler until she moved to Sarasota, Florida with her family in 1978. As a talented artist, she hand drew accurate topographic maps for the Department of Defense and had top secret security clearance. She became a city planner, GIS specialist, and served as the liaison for the Public Art Committee at the City of Sarasota. After 20 years in city planning, she retired in 2007. Due to her incredibly charismatic, outgoing and friendly nature, she held several part-time retail positions, made many new friends, enjoyed shopping and laughing at dinner with her girlfriends.
Out of all of her many accomplishments, her biggest was that she was the most wonderful and loving mother to her two children. As a single mother, she was the center of her children’s lives. Her radiant love emanated as a beacon of light that guided them throughout their lives like a star in the night sky. Her laughter and smile were contagious, bringing happiness to all that knew her. She was truly one of a kind with her animated expressions and vibrant personality. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandsons, which were the light of her life. She was devoted to her family, enthusiastic about life, had a loving disposition, never-ending curiosity, and was extremely generous. She was an absolute blessing and will be missed by many.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, Anthony and Carmella Taverrite. Jeanne leaves behind a family that loves and adores her. She is survived by her daughter Talia Bellucci Judy (Joseph) of Wesley Chapel, FL; son Michael Bellucci (Nina) and grandchildren Luca and Nico Bellucci of Newton, MA; sister Patricia Wilson (Ron) of Sarasota, FL; brother Anthony Taverrite (Sherry) of Laguna Niguel, CA; nephews Jaimon Farchione (Cara), Jared Farchione (Lindsey), Anthony and Zachary Taverrite, a great niece, great nephews, cousins, and extended family.

I remember Jeannie's sense of wonder at the Christmas Holidays. I recall her laughter as intoxicating. Her home was filled with love of family, food - especially Christmas cookies, par excellence and art.
I am so sorry for your loss.

I was able to spend some quality time with Jeanne dining with friends from Stein Mart at our many fun dinners at different restaurants. She definitely loved her cups of coffee during and after dinner.
When she could no longer drive I sometimes gave her rides to restaurants and stores.
Jeanne wore lovely outfits with shoes always to match.
Jeanne was special and having known her will remain as a sweet memory.
I still can’t believe she is gone too soon during a year we will never forget.
