Jim was born in Sarasota and attended high school in Middlebury, Indiana.
He was a carpenter by trade and dedicated 26 years to Wellcraft Marine as a foreman.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; siblings, Velma & Lester Rassi, Verlin & Ruth Schrock, Alberta Owens Johnson; children, James Damon & Andrea Schrock, Desiree & Cliff Berry, Peter J & Alexis Schrock; granddaughters, Kendall & Payton Schrock, Amara Berry, and one on the way.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6, 6-8pm with funeral service Friday, August 7, 11am both at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home in Sarasota.
