Visitation will be held today, May 19, 2015 from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home in Sarasota, FL.
Survived by his sister, Myrtle Douglas Gass, of Sarasota, FL and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Mary Jane of 53 years and Marian of four years; siblings, Harold of Adolphus, KY, Raleigh 'Jiggs' of Indianapolis, IN, Iona Snow of Westmoreland, TN and Warner of Portland, TN.
Joe was a Master of woodworking and oranges and is a Master of the Royal Secret of the 32 Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite.
He was a very loving brother and uncle that will be dearly missed.
