John A Christensen, Jr., 95, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Arlington, MA passed away November 4, 2016 at Tidewell Hospice. John “Jack” was born in Arlington, to the late John A and Mary Christensen on November 8, 1921.
Jack was a graduate of Northeastern University and pursued a long career in sales. He was a Master Mason for 65 years as a member of the Mystic Valley Lodge A.F. & A.M. He was a charter member of Sahib Shrine, and served as a past President of the Shrine Clowns as well as a past President of the Florida Shrine Clown Association. He was also a member of the Venice Shrine Club and many other organizations.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Anita; children, Judith Frankle (Dennis), Linda Kraft (Kenneth), Col. John A Christensen III, Ret (Christine): stepdaughters Lisa Weinmann and Susan Coles (David), and grandchildren John, Elizabeth, Sarah, Robert, Samantha, Lily, Emma and Avi. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Mildred, and his stepson Eric Weinmann.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Sat. Nov. 12, 2016 at Palms Robarts Funeral Home.
