John Fulton McKinnon, 75, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on January 20, 2025.John was born in Hartsville, South Carolina on November 10, 1949. He attended the University of South Carolina. He moved to Sarasota in 1974.
John was a Convention Coordinator for the Colony Beach and Tennis Club and later a route salesman for Alsco (formerly National Linen Service). John loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, football, & Nascar racing. John was a dedicated Cub Scout Leader for Pack 100 & Boy Scout Leader for Troop 23.
John will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Susan, son, John L. McKinnon (Gina Larsen), sister, Kathryn Barbie McKinnon, brother, Lauchlin W. McKinnon (Candy), and sister-in-law, Donna Clendenin.
No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial donations can be sent to Church of the Palms or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
