Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Beneva. Interment with military honors to follow in Sarasota National Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; son John Jr.; daughters Terry, Darla, Dorothy, and Maureen; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps for 15 years, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant.
