

As a teenager, Joe grew up in Bristol’s 3rd Ward, where he was a volunteer Firefighter at Goodwill Hose Company #3.
Joseph excelled academically at Bishop Egan High School where he was a member of The Rifle Club and Glee Club.
He went on to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. He served as a Medical Technician on a research team in Saigon that developed a ‘quick cure’ for malaria that was covered in an article in US News & World Report. Joe was especially happy to expand his horizons upon visiting Ethiopia.
After his military career, Joe went on to receive his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Human development from The Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania.
Joe was a Licensed Professional Counselor who also taught Yoga for nearly 35 years and practiced Polarity Therapy in the Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania area. Joe was also a therapist at both Harrisburg Hospital and Pennsylvania Counseling Services.
He used his acting skills in theatre productions and television commercials. He also wrote and played music on his guitar Shilo, with a small group of friends.
Joe was a member of a very active professional men’s groups for over 10 years in South Central Pennsylvania.
For the last six years Joe and his wife Marcia looked forward to participating in the annual “Day of Pampering” at the First United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg, providing techniques of relaxation for all caregivers.
Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marcia Glogowski, of University Park, Florida; daughter, Kisandra Glogowski , of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Lauryn Overbey, of Wilmington, Delaware; brother-in-law, James M Baugh, Jr., of Philadelphia, as well his brother James Glogowski (Victoria Stevens) of Miami, Florida; nieces, Rachel Lippert (Jeremy) of Grantham, PA, Amanda (Austin) and Sarah Glogowski; nephews, James (De) and Joe Glogowski of Houston, Texas; and many close friends he considered family.
