Joyce A. Collis-English

Joyce Collis-English, 82, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on November 2, 2023. She was born on September 9, 1941, in Joliet, IL, to the late William Berta and Ann Barti-Berta. Joyce was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard W. Collis and Frank E. English.

Joyce, also known as Joyce Collis, was a beloved member of her community. She had a vibrant personality and loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, shop, and golf with the ladies at Heritage Oaks Country Club. Joyce was also a member of the Sorority ladies Beta Sigma Phi.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her sons Richard B. Collis and Ryan Collis, daughter-in-law Danielle D. Collis, grandchildren Easton P. Collis and Avery D. Collis, brother William Berta, niece Jessica Harrison, nephew Tim Berta, brother-in-law Bill Collis, sister-in-law Sue Morrissey, brother-in-law John Morrissey, niece Jenine Morrissey, nephew John Morrissey, stepdaughter Bonnie Koch, stepbrother-in-law Dave Koch, and step nieces Lucy Koch and Lucy Koch.

Joyce had a successful career as an accountant, business owner, and landlord. She was a graduate of Joliet High School and Manatee Community College.

A Gathering will be held for Joyce's at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, located at 170 Honore Ave. in Sarasota, FL, on December 2, 2023, Memorial Service to follow at 2:00pm, A. Details for the celebration of life will be provided at a later date. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Joyce's memory.
