Joyce was a graduate of Plant High School then went on to earn a business degree from Tampa Business School.
She worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Sarasota Public School system.
Joyce enjoyed reading, cross stitch, traveling and especially vacations spent with her family.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Laurie Aldama, Joyce is survived by her daughter, Jennie L. Kennell (Mervin); son in law, Ismael D. Aldama-Apodoca; grandchildren, Linde Kennell Mehta (Ronak), Alexander D. Aldama-Apodoca; great grandchildren, Leo Mehta, Kian Mehta, Jace Mehta; a sister, Kathryn Hopkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private by the family.
