Joyce was a graduate of Plant High School then went on to earn a business degree from Tampa Business School.
She worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Sarasota Public School system.
Joyce enjoyed reading, cross stitch, traveling and especially vacations spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jenkins; daughter, Laurie Aldama and grandson, Travis Kennell.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Jennie L. Kennell (Mervin); son in law, Ismael D. Aldama-Apodoca; grandchildren, Linde Kennell Mehta (Ronak), Alexander D. Aldama-Apodoca; great grandchildren, Leo Mehta, Kian Mehta, Jace Mehta; a sister, Kathryn Hopkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private by the family.
