Julio Antonio Rios Sr.
December 5, 1936 – August 31, 2020
Julio Antonio Rios Sr., of Sarasota passed away on August 31, 2020 at the age of 83. Born December 5, 1936 in Arecibo Puerto Rico, moved to New Jersey in 1958 for new opportunities and to pave the way for his family.
Julio married Anna C. Marrero and raised three daughters, Annette, Wanda, Brenda, and a son, Julio Jr.
After moving to New Jersey, he continued his love of music as the lead singer with multiple salsa bands. After his retirement from Dutch Mill Baking, he joined his family in Sarasota, Florida.
He is survived by his Wife – Anna C. Rios, Sister, Ana Martinez
Daughters Annette Bell, Wanda Chang, Brenda Rios and Son, Julio Rios Jr., and ten grandchildren, Ashley Chang, Leonardo Chang, Christian Chang, Michael Formisano, Nicole Chang, Adriana Aguayo, Jami Aguayo, Alex Aguayo, Sarahann Rios, and Anthony J. Rios, and two great-grandchildren Aiden Chang and Ava Chang. Two Son-in-Law, Alex R. Bell, and Leonardo A. Chang
A private Celebration of Life service will be held at the Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home who is being entrusted with his final care. In Lieu of flowers, we would appreciate that you please donate to “The Diabetes Foundation” or “Marie Selby Botanical Gardens” in memory of Julio A. Rios, Sr. For those who would like to pay their respects to Mr. Rios, a drive-by memorial service will be held at 88 Tall Trees Court, Sarasota on Sunday, September 20th from 4 pm to 5 pm
