He is survived by his wife, Inga-Lise; three children, Dag, Kirsten, and Lars; and one grandchild, Colin. He was born in Vardø, Norway and came to Memphis, TN as a chemical engineer for the paper and pulp division of Buckeye Cellulose in 1956. Later, he became the plant manager for the same company at Buckeye Technologies, Memphis, TN, Foley Plant, Perry, FL and Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada. He was an avid sailor, bridge player and active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. He will also be missed by friends and family in Norway, Sweden, Canada, US and UK.
Memorial Service will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 1:00pm at Unitarian Universalist Church, 3975 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota, FL 34232.
