He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nadia Magnusson, his children Herbert Magnusson (wife, Laura), David Magnusson (wife, Ellen), Jennifer Magnusson (life partner, Dave), and Malina Spokas (husband, Michael), nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was born in Ketchikan, Alaska, to parents Harris and Miriam Magnusson. He grew up in Bethesda, MD, and attended Syracuse University. He met his wife of 52 years in Brasil in 1967. After being deployed to Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart, Ken returned to Brasil for Nadia, and they moved to the United States to be married in 1969. They spent their first few years of marriage in the Washington DC area, then moved the family to Sarasota, FL in 1976, where they lived together for the last 45 years. Ken made his living as a Draftsman, running his own business, Sarasota Lead & Inc., since 1987 for 34 years until the day he passed.
A committal service with military honors for Kenneth will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:30 AM at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
