He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 5th, 1955.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 39 years, Maura, his daughter, Samantha Goldman, son in law, Joshua Goldman and their daughter, Kevin's cherished granddaughter, Layla Juliette Goldman. Kevin was also known as “Grumps” as Layla lovingly referred to her grandfather. He was a devoted and loyal husband, caring and empathetic father and exceptional grandfather, who always bought his granddaughter a “special treat”.
He is also survived by his brother, Mervyn and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Jack and his brother, Stanley.
At the heart of Kevin’s unique personality was his intelligence and the remarkable way he could recite historical facts, music, and sports trivia as if he were a computer in human form. The nightly Jeopardy program will surely miss a devoted viewer in Kevin. Kevin was an avid reader and a volunteer at the local Lakewood Ranch Library.
It would be remiss to not end with a few quotes from Kevin’s favorite historical figure, songs and works of literature:
“In great deeds something abides, on great fields something stays, forms change and pass; bodies disappear, but spirits linger, to consecrate ground for the vision-place of souls.” -Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin
“The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind”, “May you stay forever young”- Bob Dylan
“So it goes” - Kurt Vonnegut
A life celebration for Kevin will be held at a later date.
