Leona "Carol" Conder

She is survived by her two children Robert Conder and Ruth Sallee (Bob), a grandson that she raised as her own Jeffery Davison (Sarah). Also along to cherish her memory are her six grandchildren; Tia Hagan (Derrick), Chris Sallee (Kelly), Carrie Conder, Theresa Rhoades (Chad), Amanda Jackman (JD), Kelly Morris, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Morton Earl Conder, her parents Ruth E. Grissom and Elmer A. Inman.

Mort and Carol raised their children in Louisville, Kentucky where Carol was a store manager for Ehrler's Dairy for 15 years. Carol and Mort opened their hearts and home to many who needed shelter and a home. They helped raise their grandchildren and were foster parents to 2 great grandchildren from toddlers to adults.

After they moved to Bradenton, Carol was a Merchandiser for Gibson Cards. Mort and Carol were active members of Sarasota Outboard Club from mid 1980's until 2010, living out their dream spending time on the waters of Sarasota Bay and The Gulf of Mexico.

A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Tidewell Hospice.
