Linda Jo Prenosil

Linda was born in Urbandale, Iowa, to Dorris and Donald Nelson, on April 12, 1948. She went to Urbandale High School where she graduated in 1966. Linda worked for American National Can Company in Des Moines, Iowa. After retirement, she worked for Bealls Department Store in Sarasota, Florida. Linda made many lifelong, caring friends wherever she went. To know her was to love her.

Linda married John Prenosil on June 26, 1971. Upon retirement, Linda and John moved to Sarasota to enjoy time with their grandchildren. Linda was a wonderful cook and loved entertaining; she loved a good party! Linda also enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. One of Linda’s many talents was crocheting, and she was very good at it.

Left to cherish Linda’s memories are her children, James Prenosil (Sandra) of Sarasota, Florida, and Laura Nash (Chris) of Des Moines, Iowa; her sisters Judy Greaves (Bill Wasson) and Denise Frantz; her brothers Richard Nelson (Marcia) and Donald Nelson (Donna); grandchildren Sophia, Luke and Nathan Prenosil and many loving nieces and nephews and an incredible extended family. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John.

The family plans Celebrations of Life for Linda to be held in both Sarasota and Des Moines at a later date.
