Lisa Louise Grottano Frizol passed away far too soon on March 22nd, 2026 at the age of 60 surrounded by loved ones in Sarasota, Florida. She was passionate, hilarious, and lit up every room that she walked into.
Lisa was a devoted wife to husband Karl and loving mother to her two surviving daughters, Brittnee and Kristin. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 26th, 1965 to parents Agitha and Mark Grottano, she spent most of her life living in Commack, NY before moving to Sarasota, FL in 2021. She oftentimes could be found on the sidelines of her daughter's lacrosse games cheering them on and making sure that they knew how well they did. After their seasons officially ended post-grad, she supported her eldest daughter Brittnee through veterinary school and her younger daughter Kristin through her journey after graduate school.
Lisa graduated from Kutztown Univeristy in 1987; it was here that she met the love of her life, Karl, sophomore year. They fell in love quickly and were married in 1990. Their first daughter Brittnee was born in 1994 followed by their second daughter Kristin in 1998.
Lisa was the most energetic real estate agent you could find; whether you were looking for your first home or last, you knew you were in good hands if she was on your side. She threw her entire soul into her work and took every sale and purchase as seriously as if they were her own home. Shortly before her passing, she was able to find her daughter and her husband their first home.
Lisa loved deeply and without a filter; she enjoyed spending time with friends, trying new restaurants, and going to the beach (especially going to the beach). Her camera roll was filled with countless photos of sunsets; whether it be from her bedroom window or from Siesta Key with a glass of wine always in hand.
Lisa is survived by her husband Karl, two daughters Kristin and Brittnee, brother Mark, and mother Tina. She joins her father Mark and beloved family dog Spike in heaven.
