Louis J. Ramu, 73, of Palmetto, Florida, formerly of Setauket, New York, passed away on November 10, 2025. Born on July 15, 1952, in New York City, Louis graduated from Plainedge High School and continued his studies at Adelphi University. He built a long and respected career in restoration services, serving as Vice President of Business Development and Franchise Support with a directorship for SERVPRO.
On November 13, 1988, Louis married Carol A. (Wolling) Ramu, with whom he shared 37 years of love and partnership. Louis had a true passion for sports, especially baseball and football, and he enjoyed coaching and serving on the Board of the Three Village Basketball League for many years.
Louis is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his beloved daughter, Rebecca M. Ramu Sergio, and beloved “son”-in-law, Joseph Sergio; his sister, Consuelo Gross; his brother, Philip Ramu (Marlene); along with many dear nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ramu was laid to rest at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, Florida.
