Peg was born on December 19, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA. She was a 1954 graduate of Prospect Park High School. Peg moved with her family from Sharon Hill, PA to Sarasota in 1970.
Peg dedicated 20 years of service to the Business Ed and Guidance Departments at Riverview High School. She was a member of Bee Ridge Baptist Church and later Colonial Oaks Baptist Church. Peg loved lifting her voice in song, singing in the church choir and as a longtime member of Sweet Adelines.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Ammerman, and her parents.
Peg leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Sharyn Quiros (Alvaro) and Robert Buchanan (Lael); her grandchildren, Tara Denk (Stephen), Bryce Buchanan (Annie), and Trenton Buchanan; and her great-grandchildren, Lila Denk, Ellery Denk, and Ward Buchanan.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:15 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, with burial to follow at Palms Memorial Park.
