Mark was a graduate of Riverview High School, class of 1980.
He loved entertaining, co-founded RPM and has been entertaining audiences along the west coast of Florida, The Florida Keys and across the country for 48 years. The acoustic duo has been a popular mainstay in the local music scene. Mark had a huge following of local and seasonal music lovers.
Mark also loved sports, playing golf, played competitive tennis as a junior, and had a passion for making people happy through his music.
Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Beulah Waelti; and sisters, Charna Towell and Jean Korf, Mark is survived by his children, Christopher Waelti, Jacob Waelti and Ireland Waelti; his siblings, Joan Stabenow, Douglas Waelti and Sue Caldwell; his girlfriend, Becky Hayes, and many close nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Gilligan’s Island Bar, 5253 Ocean Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34242.
