Marvin Fitzer, 87 years old, of Sarasota Florida passed away on May 21, 2026. He was born in NY in December of 1938 and worked his way through school graduating from Farleigh Dickenson University with his Bachelors of Science. He was married to Elaine Fitzer for over 60 years, and had two sons.
Marvin had a career in Real Estate developing new home projects in the north east before moving to Sarasota to semi retire still working in real estate selling homes, and buying and managing residential rental properties.
He was a member of the Numismatic Society and at one time was the President of the Sarasota Coin Club, he had a great passion for coins, and sports memorabilia. Marvin also volunteered for many years for the Sarasota Sports Committee and worked in the ball parks during MLB spring training.
Marvin is survived by his sons, Shaun and Steven Fitzer, as well as his wife, Elaine Fitzer. He will be missed greatly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 M, Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the Temple Beth Sholom Cemetery located at 801 Circus Blvd, Sarasota, Florida, 34232 .
