

The eldest child of Edward and Ruth Dicklin, Mary Ann was born 1 February 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio. The family moved to Twin Lakes, Wisconsin in 1947 where she attended Holy Name Catholic elementary school and graduated from Wilmot High School in 1955. After high school, Mary Ann worked at North Central Airlines in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She wed Larry Oberhofer, also from Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, on 7 August 1957. They spent their first two years of marriage in Germany where the Army had assigned Larry. Mary Ann and Larry returned to Twin Lakes where they raised their four children. Once their children were grown, Mary Ann and Larry moved to Townsend, Wisconsin in 1990, ultimately moving to Florida in 2013 so they would be closer to their children.
The Catholic Church, her marriage and her family were at the center of Mary Ann’s life. She assisted her husband, Larry, with his many business ventures and enjoyed sewing and decorating their many homes.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Larry, their sons Greg and Jeff Oberhofer, their daughters, Teresa Esper, and Lynn Ann Schmitt, along with their spouses, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother, John Dicklin, and two sisters, Judi Gwizdala and Ruth Huff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dicklin; brother, Thomas Dicklin; sister, Patricia Smitz; brothers-in-laws, Jerry Huff, Peter Gwizdala, Donald Smitz and Tom Oberhofer; and her grandson Justin Koldeway
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 7900 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, Florida 34241.
The Oberhofer family has requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in honor of Mary Ann instead of flower donations.
