Born in Hamilton, OH and raised on a farm, she graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1947. Mary attended the Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati on a scholarship and later worked as a Kelly Girl for her husband Dave at Allstate Insurance.
Mary loved camping, boating and golf. She was the Middletown, Ohio Women's Senior Golf Champion and city bowling champion. She was a stay at home Mom raising her daughter lovingly.
Upon retiring to Sarasota, Mary was a member of the Meadows Chorus, volunteer at The Women's Exchange and she and Dave were active with the Sahib Temple Shriners.
Preceded in death by her beloved Dave in 2012, Mary is survived by her daughter, Marty (Mickey Condon) Dickerson; two brothers, George Schmitt and John (Marianne) Schmitt and several nieces and nephews including a special niece Jill.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to the service. Entombment and a luncheon will follow.
She was an inspiration to all her knew her.
