Matthew was born January 31, 1985 in Sarasota, Florida to Bernadette Mitchell & Gary MacDonald. He graduated Class of 2003 from Riverview High School. While at Riverview, he was a member of the Kiltie Band, played trumpet, and attended the Hollywood Parade. He then went on to UCF.
Matt worked at Signs in a Day, and he loved Graphic Arts. He enjoyed movies & theatre, and walking around Island Park. His favorite candy was tropical Swedish fish. Matt loved learning about his family history, especially Tritschler Brothers Bottling Co. He also enjoyed finding out about his Scottish Clan Tartan.
Matthew is survived by his mother, Bernadette (Glen) Mitchell; father, Gary (Ann) MacDonald; and siblings, Elaina (Travis) Mullet, Liz (David) Hughes, Sarah Mitchell (Jordan) Rees, and Steven (Cora) Hoffman.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, in Sarasota.
