Dr. Mauricio was a blessing to our Nacho who gave him the nickname with love, the little lion! he would always say look out here comes the lion! they had a special bond Nacho learned to trust Dr. Mauricio.    
It was a year ago that we meet Dr. Mauricio through a mutual friend that recommended Dr. Mauricio for our grand dog Nacho we needed a vet in the worse way but we also needed the right person we could trust to care for our sons Chihuahua Nacho it didn't take long to see Dr. Mauricio was the vet for Nacho as he shared the same first name as my father (Mauricio )who passed away a few years ago and I knew it was a sing sent that Dr. Mauricio would be the right vet for Nacho when I shared this with the Doctore he smiled with approval, we will miss Dr. Mauricio's smile and kindness, as we know our Nacho will as well. RIP Dr. Mauricio we'll never forget what you did for Nacho and us.

I’m so sad to hear that he passed. Dr Vargas has been my vet for 10+years. Will always be the best vet I will ever know.  Will be very hard to find someone as honestly and trustworthy as him. 

I am so sorry for your loss. He was a kind man and a great vet. He took great care of my pups. 

It is so heartbreaking to hear the news of Dr Vargas passing. 
We’ve been All Pets Clinic customers for  the last five years. I never worried about our dog when he was in the care of Dr Vargas, even when he needed surgery.   
Dr Vargas would tend to our dog like he was a new born baby. He would always take the time to explain to me what treatment he needed and why and would laugh when my dog wasn’t polite and say. “Ohh I know you’re not happy.” 
I remember Dr Vargas as a kind, friendly man. I can only imagine the pain and loss of those who love him. 
They say, you judge a man’s heart by how they treat animals...Dr Vargas had the biggest, warmest heart. 

I know there are no words that can console his loved ones. So I just hope they take comfort in the memory I shared.

When I moved down here from up north I had two dogs at the time, an older lab and a great dane that I rescued from an abusive home life. I knew with her I was going to need a specific vet to work with her. Dr. Vargas was super friendly to my girl and took the time to gain what trust she was willing to give and never broke that trust. When I thought my dogs were coming to the end of their life, Dr. Vargas would give hope, support, and reassurance that not all was lost. He put so much care into my babies like they were his own. My family and I loved him as our vet and are absolutely devastated to find out he is no longer with us. My best wishes and condolences to the family.

The day we met Dr. Vargas made a huge difference in our dog Bentley, who is a rescue. To help ease Bentley’s anxiety Dr. Vargas spent time with him weekly enabling us to come to the clinic. We have never encountered a Vet of his caring and enthusiasm to engage with a pet. He always made time to speak with us and he captured Bentley’s trust. Dr. Vargas was the most engaging and caring individual . Our pet never took to any Vet as he did with the Dr.  Our hearts go out the entire family  for your  loss of a beautiful soul.  

To Dr. Vargas's family, please accept my deepest sympathy for your tragic loss.  Dr. Vargas was a kind man and a great veterinarian.  I wish you peace and comfort during this very difficult time. He will be greatly missed.

It is totally heartbreaking to learn of Dr. Vargas’s passing.  💔💔💔 He was the kindest, most compassionate Vet and human being we have ever met. He and his staff were always a pleasure to work with when we would show up with our desperate  kitty cats in need of his expertise. He was kind and always gave us hope always. My heart hurts for his family, his friends, his patients, and our entire community. RIP Dr. Vargas. I know you are at peace surrounded by all the loved ones your big heart has touched. ❤️❤️❤️

We are shocked and deeply saddened to learn Mauricio had been called home by our Lord. He was one of the kindest, most generous and open-hearted people we have ever met. We knew him for a short time, but during that time we developed a friendship we will cherish forever. He took care of  our pets with such passion, love and caring. He indeed learned a great deal from the animals he care for as he always gave and never asked for anything in return. We will miss Mauricio very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was so deeply saddened of the news of Dr Vargas' passing. He was such a wonderful vet, human being, always smiling and caring about each animal and their owners.  He was so compassionate.  We started using him as our vet when he ran only a mobile unit going out to the farms.  We were so excited and proud for him when he opened his clinic.  He will be missed by all fur babies, animals, and their owners as well as the entire community.   Our hearts are broken and thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow. A smiling face. An easy laugh. His beloved cows. Mauricio was my student at ESOL at Manatee Tech. He came from Bogota Columbia and met a girl from
Bogota in my classroom. They were to become husband and wife. Together they worked to become a veterinarian and dentist in the US having to retake classes and training already completed in Columbia. I remember Mauricio practicing on my cat Oreo on my kitchen table. Gently massaging her back  and explaining in English what he would have to demonstrate at the University of Florida.  How she adored him.  The world is a sadder place without him.  My love and prayers to Luz and their daughters.  He was a wonderful man who will not be forgotten.

Al igual que para tantos otros en Niza, Mauricio también fue mi mejor amigo. Durante el tiempo que caminamos juntos, aprendimos el uno del otro a crecer en este mundo, saliendo de la infancia para llegar a la adolescencia. No hubo muchos días en que no dejara tirada mi maleta del colegio por irme a jugar con Mauricio, siempre lleno de energía, amante de los deportes, con una gran sonrisa y gran sentido del humor. Lo más importante, siempre un buen amigo dispuesto a estar conmigo cuando lo necesitaba. 
Con el paso del tiempo los compinches de la cuadra nos separamos, Manolo, Jaime, Darío y muchos y muchas más. Aunque muy rara vez sabía algo de Mauricio, siempre me he acordado de él, de su familia y de todo lo vivido. Animo para todos, en algún momento nos encontraremos otra vez, en nuestra cuadra.  Abrazos a todos.

Hermano,  siempre me saludaste así y siempre me sentí así.  Siempre atento y listo para compartir y ayudar. Izzy ya te extraña. Yo también,  esa buenas conversas y sueños que compartimos sobre familia ,  autos, paseos, negocios .

My heart is broken. Dr Vargas was an amazing person and vet. His passion for animals and their well-being showed every time he was around them. He was our vet through good times and bad. His compassion made the saddest time a little easier. 
His love for his family was evident every time I asked about them. He loved being a Dad and Husband. His family is in our prayers. We will truly miss him.

There are people you meet too late and too briefly but who leave a mark on your soul. I  met Dr. Vargas only this past summer when he became the healing hand of my beloved dwarf goats. I admired his compassion, his intelligence, and above all, his ability to “get to the heart of the matter”. He will remain the best veterinarian that I have ever met. I wish I had the privilege of knowing  him longer. 

Dr. Vargas was such a gentle and kind person. He was a wonderful human and animal lover and we will miss him dearly.

My heart is broken. Dr. Vargas will always be held in the highest regard and remembered for his compassionate work with his clients‘ animals. He was the very best Vet I ever had, because you could tell he put his heart and soul into his work. It was clear he loved my dogs. He helped two of them cross the rainbow bridge in the most gentle way and I know he is now surrounded by all the sweet animals and his own ancestors too. May your pain be softened somewhat in knowing how much he was loved not only by you but by hundreds of people in the community. Sending love and prayers for you in this tragic time of loss.

Dr. Vargas took care of our sweet Matilda. She was our baby. Our Matilda collapsed at our home and I could not get her up. Dr. Vargas came to our home and took care of our Matilda. Unfortunately, it was her time. Dr. Vargas was the most compassionate doctor and friend. I will never forget the time he gave me with her before she went to Heaven. Thank you Dr. Vargas!! Im sure Matilda is with you now!!🐾❤🐾

Our deep condolences to Dr. Vargas family.  Our heart and pain is with you and hoping Dr. V is another angel in the skies looking after all of us.

Dr. V. was not just our vet, he was a friend.  He took on Jason's requests for Rocky and looked after him and his health.  Then Patton, he had our dog for full summers and Christmas while we traveled, his heart was intense.  
Also, Dr. Vargas mentored our boys Scott and Gabriel at the office clinic, so they could do their school hours, and ended up engaging them completely into his practice and care for all animals.  I also shared many great moments and talks about animals with him.  
In August, when we picked up Patton after a week he had her, Dr. V came to our home for tea and had a great talk with the whole family about his life story, and how he came to be a vet in the USA.  We will never forget his straight to the point attitude and no nonsense.
Unfortunately our family will not be able to accompany you during the services but we are praying for Dr. Vargas and his family/.  He will always be in our heart and memories.

He took such good care of our little Coco Bear, although she was not happy to go see him (she was afraid of getting a shot), he was always so gentle with her.  My heart hurts 💔 may you rest in peace Dr. Vargas, I will keep you in my prayers 🙏  gone too soon🌹

Dear Luz, Sarah and Isabella,
We have grown to love your family and are grateful to have you all in our lives. We will always remember Mauricio as a kind and wonderful man and when he came to Ovation to pick up the girls he always had a smile and a kind word. For our last Holiday Revue at the Manatee Performing Arts Center he was ready and willing to help in any way he could. He was always appreciative for our hard work. He was extremely proud of his girls accomplishments and supported them in everything they chose to do. His kindness and warm humanity lives on in all of you, he will never be forgotten.

We are saddened (and shocked) to learn of Dr. Vargas’ passing.  This past July, Dr. Vargas helped us save the life of one of our alpacas, Bo. We felt his passion for animals during our weeks together figuring out what was wrong with Bo. We will forever be grateful to him!

A tremendous spirit and incredible presence. His passion for his animal patients was only exceeded by his compassion for their human friends.  He validated my feelings with his own tears, and I bless him for it. Go well my good friend, you have earned your peace honorably.

Our family was very saddened by the news of your family's devastating loss. Dr. Vargas not only cared for our four chihuahuas, but he was a mentor to our daughter who was a former vet tech at All Pets Clinic. I worked for Dr. Vargas for a short period and saw his dedication and enthusiasm to all critters great and small. I will remember his optimism and genuine concern when he was treating my 3 lb chihuahua. He joked with me that he mirrored a chihuahuas personality; fiercely loyal. 
Thank you, Dr. Vargas for all the years of dedication to the voiceless.

Mauricio,  son bastantes recuerdos que tengo de nuestras vidas, la adolescencia,  la epoca de universidad y ya después la salida al mundo donde cada uno en su propio camino escogio, pero jamas nos separamos, su capacidad de ser amigo, lo vi también como un buen hijo padre y esposo. Q ejemplo de ser humano. Su amistad fue incondicional lo quiero mucho. Donde quiera q este siempre estara en mi alma. Y enviale mucha fortaleza a Lucrecia, Henry,  Luz marina, sarita, isabella y a tus hermanas Nidia y Mafe que son también muy especiales. Adios pronto nos reencontrarnos. 

This sudden loss is such a shock to us. Dr. Vargas was to most loving vet that we have had the pleasure to meet. He saved our dog Peekaboo so many times and took good care of all of our dogs (we have 4). He will be greatly missed.

I can't believe I'm writing this, this very special man has done so much for our animals and has been a very close and treasured friend. We have been with "Doc" back from when he would carry into our house his stainless tray of implements to perform an operation on our cat on the washing machine, then later to his beautiful clinic, which he was so very proud of. There was nothing this incredibly gifted man couldn't do! I cannot fathom the loss to his beautiful family whom he cared about so deeply, and I have prayed for you every day. Words really aren't adequate here, but what I do want to say is this. Dr. Vargas was the most talented vet I have ever known, and one of the kindest and most caring human beings as well. He'd never say no to an animal who needed him. The loss of Doc to our community and his family and friends cannot be measured. Please remember him with the same thoughts of love and affection that he had for his family, for us and our animals. Rest in Peace, my dear friend.

I celebrate for having my friend and brother, Mao, trough 32 years. He Will always be in my mind and inside my heart.

Dr Vargas was such a great professional and a human being. Saved my cat twice from dying and  my dog when needed emergency stitches. He was always smiling and it was very caring. Thank you Dr. Vargas descansa en paz .

Dr. Vargas was such a caring soul.  He was always so compassionate and kind.  He cared for 2 of my dogs, saving one of them as just a puppy, and I am forever grateful for the amazing care he extended to us.  I am truly saddened by his loss.  He will be greatly missed. 

Dr. Vargas, my heart is heavy learning of your passing. You were there to help one of my fosters, and my beloved Gracie Mae cross the rainbow Bridge, and countless other fosters. Your compassion and caring was so obvious in all the animals you helped, and you were truly genuine in your love for animals and their pet parents. You will be missed tremendously. I know you will be greeted by so many animals you helped through the years. God speed my friend.
