Max Bayer, 76, of Sarasota, formerly of Montreal, Canada, died on January 8, 2013.
Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday at Temple Emanu-El in Sarasota with burial following at Palms-Robarts Memorial Park.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Daryl; two sons, Stuart (Stacy) of Sarasota and Lawrence (Shari) of Atlanta; four grandchildren , Eva, David, Hailey and Sam; a brother, Solly of Vancouver and a sister, Sylvia of Montreal.
Max graduated from McGill University and was a Chartered Accountant. He was a SR. V.P. Finance at Ultramar Canada Inc; President of Temple Rodeph Sholom, Montreal; a member of Temple Holy Blossom, Toronto and Temple Emanuel, Sarasota. He was a member of Palm Aire Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Tidewell Hospice.
