Naomi was born in Gary, Indiana on February 21, 1941. She graduated from Emerson High School in 1958. She was married to Dimitri Syros on April 28, 1963.
Naomi had a career in insurance and worked at Dean Sangalis Insurance Company. She also worked in real estate in the Metro Detroit area, and with her husband Dimitri at his restaurants over the years. Naomi had a passion for movies, bingo, birdwatching, great food, telling stories and being the life of the party.
Naomi is preceded in death by her husband, Dimitri Syros; her son, Nick Syros; and her parents, Nick and Katherine Stakis.
Naomi is survived by her son, Paul Syros of North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew of North Carolina, and Dimitri, Alina and Julianna of Sarasota, Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be held this spring at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Michigan.
