I remember Mr. Patton from my childhood. He was such a great neighbor and source of fun. Countless toboggan rides down Patton Mountain and pick up service at the bottom and wonderful family get togethers. I learned from his many stories and anecdotes loaded with useful advice and good business practices which I carry with me today. He helped me get my first paying job. To Doug, Curt and Jennifer, and all his family, you have my deepest sympathies. Miss you all and wishing you all the best. Kevin Lorei

Back in the days when paperboys had to collect the money, I had a few clients who were deep in debt, meaning that it came out of my pay. When my uncle Bud came for a visit and heard this, he went around my route with me and helped me collect the money. He showed me how things were done in Erie!

I have a fond memory as an eight year old waking up after leg surgery to find my Uncle Buddy in my hospital room checking-in on me. As I look back now as an adult, I realize now how my Uncle always had a way of making you feel special in the moment.

More than a brother-in-law, Bud was my friend. Generous and fun-loving, his presence at family gatherings, large or small, meant that all felt recognized and appreciated. I have over 60 years of smiles to remember.
