He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 19, 1951, and graduated from high school in 1968. He went to work as a printer for the Star News.
P.T. Motley came to Sarasota on spring break in the 1970’s and went to work in the drywall construction industry. He later became an assembler at Lowes from 2007 through retirement in 2019.
He married Patty Motley on September 22, 1978, amongst the aspen trees in Golden, Colorado.
P.T. had a passion for NASCAR, fantasy football, the Rays, the Lightening, his cabin in the mountains of rural northeast Georgia and his many friends he met along his journey. Most of all, he loved his puppies and kitty cats he adopted throughout the years.
In addition to his wife of 48 years, he is survived by daughter Katie Konecko (Ian); grandchildren, Ellse and Issac, his sister, Cindy Renick (Charlie); his brother, Kevin Motley (Kat): brother-in-law, Bob Wheeler (Cindy) and many, many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, and it will truly be a celebration.
