He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Claudia; loving sons, David (Karen) and Doug Gutknecht, both of St. Johns, FL; siblings, John Gutknecht (Nancy) of Cicero, IN and Joann Mears of Columbia, SC; cherished grandchildren, Julian, Pressley and Jake and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be dearly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Sat. Jan. 13, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 800 McIntosh Rd., Sarasota, FL 34232 with Pastor N. Martin Mielke officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church Memorial Garden Fund.
