11/13/1951 – 1/21/2021
Born to Luke & Grace Sherlock in Staten Island, NY. Graduated from New Dorp High School and moved to Florida shortly thereafter. Education was a passion for her. She started her education at Miami Dade College where she met lifelong friends when she joined Zeta Tau Sorority. She studied Nursing and eventually got her Master’s Degree from the University of South Florida. She began her career at Sarasota Memorial Hospital where she worked for 20+ years before moving on to Blake Memorial and lastly Lakewood Ranch Medical Center before retiring. Sadly, Regina lost her battle with ALS and was taken from us far too soon. Even though the disease was debilitating she faced it with courage and humor. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother and father, sister Kathleen Marshall, husband Christopher Fowler, and many more important relatives young and old. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Brad and Alison Harris, her daughter Bridget Harris, her grandsons whom she adored Lochlyn and Liam Harris, her sister Maureen Sherlock, brother Luke Sherlock, countless nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her closest friends her sorority sisters, lifelong best friends Judy Van Pelt and Jennifer Sharp and her travel companion Sharon Wagner.
She became the matriarch of our family and took care of everyone around her with the utmost love and care. She loved to dance and was good at it. We pray that she has found her loved ones and is dancing with them in heaven. She will be sorely missed.
The family is hosting a small celebration of life at Rodizio Grill in Sarasota on Thursday January 28th from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers, to honor Regina please consider donating to the ALS Foundation or the Gina Rose Montalto Foundation.
Arrangements entrusted to Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232, (941) 371-4962.
