Richard Allan Briefman, 68, of Sarasota, Florida passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. Born November 24th, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, Rick spent over 40 years working in sales and marketing in various industries, retiring from SYSCO West Coast Florida in 2019.
He is preceded in death by his parents Burton and Ruth, as well as his wife Nancy. Blessed to have two families to call his own during his lifetime, Rick is survived by his loving partner Lynda; siblings Mark (Laura) and Joyce (Tom); Children Jason B. (USN), Stephanie (Chris), Jason K. (Karen), Erin (Mike); grandchildren Atticus, Crosby, Kylee (Dominick), Brenna, Evelyn (Pappy’s Favorite); and the newest addition, his great granddaughter Nora.
Rick will forever be remembered for his quick wit, his competitive edge during weekly trivia nights, his love of animals, and most importantly, his unwavering love for his family.
