Richard Paul Hodges

Services will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fri., Nov 21, 2014 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Sarasota, FL. Funeral arrangements by: National Cremation.

Dick was the son of Samuel and Esther Hodges and was raised in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Virginia and Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dick spent his life in the printing business, W. Franklin Hodges Company of Philadelphia prior to retiring to The Meadows in 1998. Dick had a lifelong passion for golf and was a quarter century member of Llanerch Country Club as well as being a member of The Meadows Country Club. His social life was curtailed during baseball season so that he could watch his beloved A's following them from Philadelphia to Oakland. He is survived by his wife Cathy (Kearney) Hodges and special niece and nephew Chris and Lisa Kelly of Cape Canaveral, Florida as well as nieces, nephews and special friends.

Celebration of life will be at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232 followed by a luncheon at The Meadows Country Club.

There will be a service in Pennsylvania in the Spring.
