Richard A. Weissfeld, 85, passed away peacefully with family in Atlanta, GA. A memorial service will be held at Temple Sinai, Sarasota, FL on Friday, June 19, at 1:00 pm. A celebration of life will also be held in Buffalo, NY in the fall.
Formerly of Buffalo, Richard lived in Sarasota for 31 years. Beloved wife, Carol, passed away in 2012 and after 45 years of marriage, Richard spent his later years with his girlfriend, Barby Comins. His numerous friends became his extended family.
He was a dedicated lawyer for many years with Weissfeld, Weissfeld & Weissfeld, alongside his father, Jacob, and brother, Adrian. Later he courageously began his own successful practice, and was a compassionate and caring advocate for his clients.
Richard made and kept friends easily, he was kind to everyone he met, and he was always up for a joke, a laugh, a dance, a game of tennis or round of golf, and a rousing rendition of Love Potion #9!
Whether you called him Richard, Richie or Buff, he was a good man who will be missed by many - his children, Amy, Mark and Todd, grandchildren, nieces, extended family, and friends near and far.
