Rick Gene Jones

Rick married Tamara A. Chambers on August 18th, 1990. Rick is survived by his wife, Tamara and five Sons. Jesse, wife, Janice and Rick’s grandchildren Hailey and Ian. Son, Gregory and wife, America. Son, Nicholas and Rick’s grandchildren Brantley and Weston. Sons, Cody and Colton and his sister Jackie Tomlin.

Rick was mostly raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he worked at Quaker Oats for 12 years. After moving to Florida, he and his wife, Tamara created and built the successful Apache Tile and Marble Company.

Rick loved Rock N’ Roll music and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and raising Angel Fish. In his earlier years, he enjoyed riding his Harley, racing his dragster “Big Bad Blue”, and playing Volleyball.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and Stepfather Charles Mathis; sister Debra Simonsen; and ex-wife Roberta.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Rick on Saturday, August 19th, 2023 from Noon until 3PM in the Cypress Hall at Sun Outdoors (Sun N’ Fun).

Rick was a dedicated Husband, Father, Grandfather and Uncle who took great pride in providing well for his family. He will forever be loved, remembered, and missed.
