Robert was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on July 29, 1947. He graduated from Morgan Township High School and received a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Robert was married to Patricia L. Bell (Wilson) on December 28, 1969.
Robert had a career for 30 years as a Police Officer for Sarasota Police Department. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association and had a passion for Mustang cars and tractors.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Clarke and Mary F. Bell and his sister Mary C. Bell.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Bell; children, Jennifer McDuffie (Seth) and Elizabeth Bell; grandchildren, Julia and Bobby Ribaudo; and sisters, Janet Bell, Kathleen Kreiger, and Barbara Bell.
There will be a private funeral service.
