Reverend Robert "Bob" L. Miller

Robert L. "Bob" Miller, age 87, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on September 21, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving wife and children. Born in 1939 in New Kensington, PA, he was the son of Ralph and Virginia Miller.

Bob was very proud to have served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He then worked for Hospice of Lake and Sumter as a Chaplain for many years. He was passionate about reading, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing pickleball. His favorite pastime was spending time with and laughing with family and friends.

Rev. Miller is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Virginia Miller, brothers Eugene and Thomas Miller, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bob is survived by his wife, Jane Miller, of 64 years. Surviving children are Robin (James Peal) Miller, James (Jennifer Bash) Miller, and Kristen (Bradley) Bixler. Grandchildren are Nathan Miller, Curtis (Kristen) Miller, Ethan (Katie) Peal, Eli (Lilia) Donovan, and Kelsey Donovan. Great-grandchildren include Regina Miller, Margo Miller, Reagan Miller, Callum Donovan, and Merris Donovan. Sister-in-Law Dorothy Miller, Niece Lori (Bobby) Brasiola, Nephew Michael (Della) Miller,Cousin John Thomas and children, great-nieces and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery with Military Honors.
